Time Out Days 2012. In our busy lives it is often a challenge to attend a whole weekend retreat, so these days are set aside as a day retreat to provide an opportunity to take some time out in our busy schedule for having some space with God.

Finding faith in Aotearoa

9.30am - 4pm
A day of reflection on how the Christian/Catholic faith is expressed in contemporary New Zealand. This day may help migrants understand the distinctive features of Christianity and the Catholic faith in New Zealand, and help NZ born participants appreciate the faith perspective of recent migrants. This day consists of prayer, several input sessions, time for individual and shared reflection. Lunch will be provided. The programme runs from 9.30am until 4pm. A Eucharist will be celebrated at 4.30pm for those who wish to remain. A contribution of $30pp would be appreciated.

24hrs Silence

The 24hrs devoted to seeking God in the silence will include times of reflection, guided meditation, exposition and plenty of space for personal prayer. Recovery Retreats
For many years the friary has facilitated retreats for people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. These are for people who are in recovery and recognise their "higher power" as God. Because of the nature of these retreats we do not advertise the dates, but if you are interested please contact the friary for more details.
